The firm made the announcement this week that the line will begin sailing a new 61-day route that will explore 20 states across four time zones. The Great United States cruise, which will make its debut in the fall of 2019, will begin on the west coast and make its way to the east coast, stopping at many national parks along the way.

Robertson, president and chief executive officer of American Cruise Lines, "The Great United States cruise is a magnificent presentation of our country and of the breadth of American Cruise Lines." This statement was made in a news release. Only American Cruise Lines has the ability to successfully carry out a river cruise of this magnitude in the United States, as no other cruise line has ever attempted such a voyage.
